Team, goals and vision

We are a team of professionals—mostly computer engineers—specialized in Digital Transformation through innovative technological solutions in the areas of cloud computing, data, software development productivity, and at the intersection of Big Data and DevOps technologies. We believe in continuous improvement, and our goal is to help our clients unlock their full potential. We bring both national and international experience and have participated in projects within critical environments such as healthcare, banking, education, and public services, across both public and private sectors. Innovation is in our DNA. We apply our deep technical knowledge to the companies, organizations, and businesses that rely on us. We grow with every project, and we believe in win-win relationships: We don’t work for you, we work with you.

History and Milestones

Torusware is a technology company founded on 2013 as a spin-off of the Computer Architecture Group of University of A Coruña. It is the result of more than 10 years of R&D in High Performance Computing and Communications, both on premises and in the cloud, at University of A Coruña. Further, it is the result of the  full support of Fundación Barrié.

During this time, Torusware has won numerous national and international achievements, among them:

  • UKTI Spain Tech Competition (2013). The Panel of Judges highlighted: “Torusware innovative technology, commitment to R+D+I and clear strategy for the UK market and internationalization.”
  • Top 20 ICT in Europe (2014). Torusware was selected by the European Commission as one of the TOP20 most promising IT companies in Europe (SME Instrument Winner).
  • Emprendedor XXI LaCaixa/ENISA (2014). National winner of Emprendes (Spanish startups <2 years, winner among 584 applications). The most prestigious award in Spain. Additionally, winner of the Innovation accessit.
  • Accenture Fintech Innovation Lab in London (2015). Torusware was part of the 2015 cohort of the FinTech Innovation Lab London, being mentored by Tier-1 banks for introducing the technology across their organizations, first Spanish company achieving the reward.
